The Wisconsin Aquaculture Association is the voice of aquaculture in the state. Legislators and state officials look to the WAA for input on legislation and regulations and often seek opinions from the Board regarding new research, marketing and financing programs designed to assist the expansion of aquaculture in the state. WAA is a member of the National Aquaculture Association, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau and the Wiscoinsin Agriculture Tourism Association and works closely with the University of Wisconsin-Extension Aquaculture Specialists.

WAA is a membership association which is solely supported by membership dues, the annual conference, and by advertising on the wisconsinaquaculture.com website and in The CREEL.

Our membership continues to grow each year and helps to give our association a strong voice for aquaculture and to promote aquaculture in Wisconsin. Because of the support of you, our members, we are able to bring workshops, conferences, speakers, and information to you. If you are not a member and have a farm or are interested in aquaculture, we urge to join now and be a part of the Wisconsin aquaculture iindustry.

There are 2 membership levels - active members (voting) are $50.00, associate members $25.00 and group at $75.00. Dues renewals are due in January and membership runs from January to December each year.  All members will receive our newsletter, The CREEL, which is published 4 times a year, be listed on our online directory with name and address, receive member discounts for conference and workshop, and be informed of important issues via our member only listserv.  Active level members also can vote, be eligable to serve on the Board of Directors, WAIAC, and have a more extensive listing on the online directory.  Group level is for farm/vendor employees, agencies, organizations for up to 1 active level and 4 associate level memberships.
