Daily fish could be beneficial for health, scientific study shows

UNITED STATES  Friday, October 25, 2013

Recent research into natural pain killers has shown that an alternative medicine derived from fish could effectively fight serious illnesses successfully.
This current research stresses the benefits of high doses of omega-3 fatty acids and the use of NPD1/PD1 from fish oil in controlling pain.  This has proven to be excellent news for patients looking for both non-surgical and non-drug alternatives to treatments for various illnesses.

Results of a research led by Ru-Rong Ji at Duke University Medical Center show through the analysis of the bioactive lipid neuroprotectin D1/protectin D1 (NPD1/PD1), which is produced in human white blood cells in response to external stimuli such as pain or stress that NPD1/PD1 alleviates abdominal and brain inflammation and the subsequent pain. The scientific study was published in the Annals of Neurology in May 2013.
